Este Calor This section of the jungle is known for the constantly high temperatures that can be found throughout the forestry. It is notable for the hardened lava that litters the forest floor in the form of darkened and grey rocks. It is a relatively comfortable place, should one not mind the almost steamy heat, however it is terribly easy to succumb to the suffocating heat in the midst of the day. |

El Río Maldito Much muddier than the other rivers in Refuge Point, El Río Maldito is dark and dank. Although lush vegetation surrounds the river and flowering vines often trail into the water, the river itself seems lifeless. Winding sluggishly towards the sea, it is never possible to see more than a foot into the water due to the eternally murky waters. It exudes a foreboding aura - a feeling that is only strengthened by the flashes of silver and black that can be occasionally seen in the silty depths of the Cursed River |

Espejos Nublados At first, the land looks just as lush as that which surrounds it. Twisting branches and tree trunks spiral heavenward, tendrils of mist and fog intertwining with the curved plant life. One good sniff, however, rebukes any idea that this is a thriving area; charred ground crumbles beneath the feet and damp soot clings to the paws and fur of those who tread through the forest. All of the trees are dead and there is little green to be found anywhere within the area. It is an eerie place, especially at night, for the moonlight refracts strangely off of the mist and can turn the already spooky forest into a garish nightmare. |

Sendero de los Dioses Up and up rises this trail - often leading the walker to the very brink of sheer granite cliffs - until it begins to level off - however slightly - as it leads through the cool, humid, and perpetually foggy rainforest that cloaks the tops of many ridges. The trail is well-worn despite the rarity of travelers seen, but the whispers of concealed predators and other large mammals can be heard in the undergrowth to either side quite frequently. |
